Yes, this is the place! It's a whole new look, but this is still Karen Alfke's website, featuring 2nd Nature Design
knitting patterns and Unpatterns.

I've always loved fall – for some reason, it feels more like a new beginning of a new year than January ever did. The school buses are rolling, the knitters are back on the needles now that the blooms are fading in the garden … and independent knitting designers are rolling up their sleeves and … working on websites?

Those of you who know me personally know what a geek I am, so it should come as no surprise that I've been having a ball with this new website design. And I am completely thrilled to announce another technological breakthrough:
2nd Nature Design knitting patterns are now available at Patternfish, the online pattern store!

[Unpatterns will be available there, too … just as soon as I can get them in .pdf format!]

As always, I'm also wholesale to Local Yarn Shops nationwide. Here is a list of shops who currently carry our patterns and Unpatterns. I believe strongly in supporting your local shop, so if you love my patterns and want to get yours through them, send them my way!

Oh, and it's a brave new world for all sorts of reasons: I've been blogging, too! (That's where you can read about all the other crazy things I'm doing, like training for a marathon.)
